The Bigeq.com Equitation Index

The winter show circuits in Florida and California provide a great preview for the fall equitation finals. Week after week junior equitation riders get a chance to compete head-to-head, revealing potential contenders for year-end medal finals. In 2000, Bigeq.com developed The Bigeq.com Equitation Index, a mathematical system to rate each rider during the winter circuits. The Index evaluates a rider's winnings and consistency in comparison to his/her peers on a national level during the winter circuits. The Index proved to be a reliable predictor of winners and ribbon-winners at the various national equitation finals.

Note: 2015 was our last year calculating the Equitation Index -

it's been a fascinating fifteen years and we hope you've enjoyed it!
